A poem by Jill and Lois
Come, come be,
Come sit with me…
In this place of peace and serenity.
The Sister’s House Porch
where we are free.
Yes, here we are just free to be.
Let’s share some time on this hallowed ground,
a kaleidoscope of God’s sights and sounds.
Trees and flowers, the river and sky,
see blue jays, hawks, doves, squirrels go by.
Colors and creatures all around,
God’s Presence, our oneness is easily found.
The warmth of the sun,
the touch of a breeze,
the sound of the rain,
as it falls through the trees.
The Sister’s House porch
where we are free.
Yes, here we are just free to be.
We share food for the body,
find balm for the soul.
As our hearts join together,
feel a little more whole.
Whether we are two or three,
or more, perhaps just Thee and me.
Reflection, fellowship,
meditation and prayer.
Whatever we’re doing,
At one with The Presence
that is always there.
The Sister’s House Porch
where we are free.
Yes, here we are just free to be.
Where our hearts can share
And our souls can be
at peace, in love, ahhh… serenity.
So come, come be.
Please, sit with me.
